- Do you feel lonely even in a crowd, I cannot stop myself from quoting it in hindi “Bheed mai bhi akela”.
- Is it difficult for you to forgive others?
- Do you hold grudges and cannot let go?
- Do you often feel jealous?
- Do you find it difficult to trust others?
- Do you find it hard to express your emotions and rather prefer to keep them bottled up inside?
I am sure many of you may ask, what’s wrong in that?
Since a young age, we have been taught and reminded time and again that humans are social animals. Our happiness depends on the quality and depth of our relationships. Like it or not, but our relationships rely heavily on how well we can express and communicate our emotions. When we are unable to express openly and honestly, it often leads to misunderstanding, dissatisfaction, arguments, being taken for granted, not being valued, etc. All of these are low-frequency emotions that eventually lead to distance within our relationships, which then causes us to feel lonely, unhappy, and indulge in blame games.
I am sure everyone can agree with me when I say that feeling lonely and not valued in any relatioship, that is dear to us, is really painful, both for ourself and people who honestly care about us. The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared loneliness to be pressing global health threat. WHO states that health risks of loneliness are as bad as smoking up to 15 cigarettes a day.
Emotions that we feel, but are left unexpressed, don’t just vanish because we chose to numb or ignore them, they keep building up inside our body one after another and gradually blocks our Chakra’s. If you have answered YES to any of the questions asked at the begining, it denotes emotional symptoms of blocked Heart Chakra. Blockage also express itself as physical symptoms such as: weakend immune system, insomnia, tightness in the chest, shoulders and arms, heart palpitations and other heart issues.
There are 7 prime chakras in our body, Heart chakra is located at the centre of chest, behind the sternum, next door to the heart. It resonates with the colour Green or Pink and its element is Air. It acts as a bridge between mind, body, and spirit. Heart chakra when open, activated, and balanced is associated with.
